AASHTO/ NASEO Regional EV Workshop-Upper Central
March 8 @ 8:00 am - March 9 @ 12:00 pm UTC-5
The National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO), in partnership with the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), and the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation, will host a National Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure (NEVI) Planning Meeting for the Upper Central Region. This two-day event will be held on March 8-9, 2023, in Denver, CO.
The purpose of this meeting is to convene State Energy Offices, State Departments of Transportation, and other key partners to facilitate peer exchange and enhance state-federal coordination on electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure planning and implementation for the NEVI program. Additionally, the meeting will allow states to engage in discussions with federal partners and electric system experts to identify region-specific EV charging electric system and grid challenges for states to address in their NEVI planning and implementation. Participants will leave the meeting with the appropriate knowledge to address current workforce gaps of State and local transportation agencies for NEVI implementation, develop year two State EV Infrastructure Deployment Plans, and, ultimately, build a convenient, reliable, affordable, accessible, and equitable national EV charging network.
